Welcome to Arts and Crafts in 6th Grade!
Let’s play TANGO!
TANGO is a funny activity in
which students are distributed in couples who have to face each other. One
member of the couple will be facing the whiteboard (the describer) and the
other one will be facing the opposite wall (the drawer). Then, the teacher will
project and imagen on the whiteboard and the describer will have to tell the
drawer what to represent in a piece of paper. Descriptions can only be done in
English! Once the drawer has finished he or she will be able to turn around in
order to check the original picture. Afterwards, each student will change roles
and the teacher will project a new image.
Let’s play Kahoot!
As an exciting way of ending up our
lessons, from time to time we play Kahoot. It consists on a quiz that provides
our students with the perfect feedback of what they have learnt during their
lessons. It requires smartphones or tablets and, moreover, a lot of teamwork!
Throughout
this term we are going to study the artist called Paul Gauguin. He was a French
painter who was born in 1848. Our students will have to get documented about
his life. Consequently, they will expose “Three possible facts” about him.
“Three possible facts” is a game in which the student will present 3 sentences
about our artist: 2 of them are going to be true and the remaining one
is going to be false. The task of the class will be to guess the correct
answer.
